Research & Academic Progress
Academic Progress
My academic progress includes SNHU coursework and additional Sophia Learning courses completed for transfer credit. During C-5 (Aug-Oct 2026), I completed multiple Sophia courses while also preparing for an increased SNHU course load. This work supports my degree progress by helping complete general education and elective requirements more efficiently.
Completed and recent coursework includes research methods, forensic psychology, cognition, abnormal psychology, personality theory, social psychology, lifespan development, and applied statistics. Upcoming work includes counseling process and related courses in the next term.
I am completing my B.A. in Psychology at Southern New Hampshire University, with graduation expected on June 27, 2027.
Graduate Research Interests
I want to study how we identify suicide risk that does not come through in an initial screen or direct disclosure, particularly among veterans. My conceptual manuscript examines suicide risk after negative screens. In graduate study, I want to learn how repeated assessment can help distinguish risk that was present but missed from risk that develops afterward. I need more training to answer my question.
Veteran Suicide Risk After a Negative Screen: A Longitudinal Detection Framework
This conceptual manuscript proposes a longitudinal detection framework for veteran suicide risk after a negative screen. It separates information missed during an encounter from risk that develops afterward, and it tracks whether risk-related information emerges, is recognized, and stays usable across later contacts. It also proposes encounter-specific dominance threat as one testable disclosure mechanism.
The manuscript is prepared for submission to Military Psychology. The full manuscript is not posted publicly.
